Spark-pluggap:0.76mm(0.030inch)
1.Disconnectthespark-plugwirefromtheterminal
ofthesparkplug(Figure22).
2.Cleantheareaaroundthebaseofthespark
plug.
3.Removethesparkplugfromthecylinderhead
byrotatingtheplugcounterclockwise.
4.Examinetheplugforwearanddamage(Figure
30).
Important:Replaceacracked,fouled,or
dirtysparkplug.Donotcleantheelectrodes,
becausegritenteringthecylindercan
damagetheengine.

6.Installthesparkplugbythreadingitintothe
cylinderhead,andtorquetheplugto20N∙m(14
lb-ft).
7.Connectthespark-plugwiretotheterminalof
thesparkplug.

1.Locatethedrainboltthatisinthesideportof
thecarburetorbowl(Figure31).

thefuelbeneaththedrainscrew.
3.Removethedrainscrewfromthecarburetor
andallowthefueltodrainfromthefueltankand
thecarburetor.
Note:Donotremovethebowl-retainingscrew
fromcarburetor.
