themachine.

•Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovement
tostopbeforeyouleavetheoperator'sposition.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeadjusting,
servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Fuelfumesarehighlyammable,explosive,and
dangerousifinhaled.Ifyoustoretheproductinan
areawithanopename,thefuelfumesmayignite
andcauseanexplosion.
•Neverstorethemachinewithfuelinthefuel
tankinsideabuildingwhereignitionsourcesare
present,suchashotwaterandspaceheaters,
clothingdryers,etc.Allowtheenginetocool
beforestoringthemachineinanyenclosure.
•Disengagethepowertotherotarybroomwhen
transportingorstoringthemachine.

PreparingtheFuelSystem
1.Onthelastrefuelingoftheyear,addfuel
stabilizertofreshfuel.
2.Addthetreatedfueltothemachineandrunthe
enginefor10-minutes.
3.Drainthefuelfromthefuelsystem;referto
DrainingtheFuelSystem(page22).
Note:Donotstorestabilizedfuelformorethan
90days.
4.Runthemachineuntiltheenginestopsfrom
runningoutoffuel.
5.Primetheengineandstartitagain.
6.Allowtheenginetorununtilitstops.
7.Allowittocool.
PreparingtheEngine
1.Disconnectthespark-plugwire.
2.Removethesparkplug,add30ml(1oz)of
engineoilthroughthespark-plughole,andpull
thestarterropeslowlyseveraltimes.
3.Looselyinstallthesparkplug.
PreparingtheChassis
1.Supporttheframe,sothebristlesarenot
touchingtheground.
Important:Thebristleswillbecome
deformedandthebroomwillbeoutof
