diameteroftheballbearing.Supportthecrankcasecoveraroundthe

openingandpresstheballbearingintothecoveruntilbottomedoutagainst

theshoulderofthecover.

Note:Theballbearinghasapress-ttolerancetothesidecoverandshould

nottlooselyinthecrankcasecover.

7.Slowlyslidethecrankcasecoverontothecrankshaftuntilushagainstthe

gasketandcrankcase.

Note:Ifnecessary,rotatethecrankshaftslightlytoassistwiththecrankcase

coverinstallation.

8.Looselyinstallthe6(M8x32)screwssecuringthecrankcasecovertothe

crankcase.Torquethescrewsinaalternatingpatterninspecicationorder

below.

Note:Donotusethescrewstopullthecrankcasecovertothecrankcase.

•Torqueallofthescrewsto15N•m(132in-lb)

•Torqueallofthescrewsto29N•m(252in-lb)
