1.Withcarburetorremoved,positionwithoatbowlupwards.

2.Usingahandpressuretester,applypressuretothefuelinlet.

3.Whilepumping,observethepressureincrease.

4.Stoppumping,observethepressuredropslightly,thenstabilizeastheoat

weightclosestheneedleandholdspressure.Thepressureshouldnotdrop

tozero.

Note:Anexactpressurevalueisn’trequiredtomeasuretheintegrityofthe

oatandneedletoholdpressure.

5.Ifpressuredrops,evaluatetheneedletipandseatcondition.Replaceneedle

orcarburetorasneeded.
