•Iftheclearanceoftheplasticgaugeisgreaterthantheservicelimit,replace
theconnectingrodandrechecktheclearancewiththenewconnectingrod.
Iftheclearancestillexceedstheservicelimit,replacethecrankshaftand
repeattheproceduretochecktheclearancesofthenewcrankshaft.
7.Cleanthepistontoremovecarbonanddebrisfromthepistondomeand
ringlands.
8.Inspectthepistonfordamage.Ifdamaged,replacethepistonassembly.
9.Measureandverifytheoutsidediameterofthepistonskirtistospecication.
Ifthepistonskirtdiameterisnottospecication,replacethepistonassembly.
