2.Loosenthenutsthatsecurebothskidstothe
augersidesuntiltheskidsslideupanddown
easily(Figure38).

gravelsurfaces,adjusttheskidsfurtherdownto
preventthemachinefrompickinguprocks.
5.Movetheskidsdownuntiltheyareevenwith
theground.
6.Firmlytightenthenutsthatsecurebothskids
totheaugersides.
Note:Toquicklyadjusttheskidsiftheyloosen,
supportthescraper3mm(1/8inch)offthe
pavement,thenadjusttheskidsdowntothe
pavement.
Note:Iftheskidsbecomeexcessivelyworn,
youcanturnthemoverandsettheunusedside
towardthepavement.
