Installation Instructions

Installation

Important You will need to purchase Teflon tape before installing this kit. The tape is used to wrap threads of fittings

before assembly. Threads should be wrapped from left to right, starting at the base and traveling to the tip of fitting (if

looking down the axis of a fitting, tape should be wrapped clockwise from back to front).

Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position.

Note: If you are installing this kit on a sprayer with a covered boom kit, you will need additional parts and instructions;

contact your Authorized Toro Distributor for more information.

Preparing the Machine 2. Install the left hose reel support (support without the spray gun holder tube on it) to the vehicle frame using 2 U-bolts, 4 flange nuts (3/8 inch) and a spacer. The support should wrap around the rear end of the tank (Fig. 2 and 3). Do not fully tighten the flange nuts to allow for later adjustment. 1. Ensure that the machine is empty of all fluids.

4. The supports should wrap around the rear end of the tank (Fig. 4). 7. Install the 2 hose reel mounting tubes to the top of the hose reel frames (Fig. 5) using 4 bolts (5/16 x 3-1/4 inch), 4 washers (11/16 inch outside dia), and 4 flange nuts (5/16 inch). Installing the Control Valve 10. Remove and discard the bolt and nut from the lower inside roller support on the hose reel and install the electrical box in that hole (Fig. 6), using a flange-head bolt (5/16 x 1 inch) and a flange nut (5/16 inch). 1. 4. Install the new control valve into the open port on the supply tee and secure it with a new retainer (Fig. 10). 9. Install the supply tee and control valve assemblies to the mounting brackets as shown in Figure 12. 10. 13. Wrap Teflon tape counterclockwise around the threads of the gauge (Fig. 14). 16. Connect the end of the hose to the fitting on the hose reel (Fig. 15) and secure both ends with 2 small metal hose clamps. Connecting the Spray Hose 1 1. Hands, loose clothing, long hair, and jewelry could get caught in the hose and reel while rewinding and cause injury.

Safety and Instruction Decals Safety decals and instructions are easily visible to the operator and are located near any area of potential danger. Spraying with the Hand Sprayer Switching from Hand Spray Mode to Boom Spray Mode 1. Pull out the desired amount of hose from the reel. 1. Press the rewind button on the hose reel until only a few feet of hose is out of the reel. Important Do not pull the hose with the spray gun. Always hold the hose and pull on it directly. Pulling on the hose with the gun may break the fitting on the gun. Caution 2. Release the trigger lock.
