Models:

Serial Numbers:

280000101 – 280000291
Situation:
Spray Monitor (108-3312) was revised to version B due to an internal hardware change. This
change has affected the Monitor's ability to accurately display the correct area calculations
(Total Area and Sub Area) when selected. A software revision is needed to correct the
problem.
Monitors that have corrected software will have a sticker with "version C" on the back of the
monitor.
Only version B is affected; all other versions are unaffected by this issue.
Instructions:
The Area calculation is derived from distance and boom width. This optional tracking function is
not used by a majority of operators; however, area calculation can be verified as follows:
1) Turn the Monitor dial to either Total Area or Sub Area
2) Zero the area by pressing the reset button until 0 is displayed
3) Turn on all three booms and the pump
4) Drive 50 feet, note the reading on the monitor
5) Turn off any two booms (pump and one boom must remain on)
6) Zero the area by pressing the reset button until 0 is displayed
7) Drive 50 feet, reading should be approximately 1/3 of reading noted in step 4 above.
8) If the second reading is not approximately 1/3 of the first reading the area is being
calculated incorrectly.
Report any Spray Monitors you feel are inaccurate to your local Toro Authorized Distributor for
assistance correcting the issue.
