Operation
UsingtheControls
SonicBoomswitch—thisswitchhas3settings:
Automatic,Off,andManual(Figure23),asfollows:
•Automatic—enablestheautomaticmovementof
thebooms.Wheninautomaticmodethebooms
adjustsothatthetipsoftheboomsremainthe
samedistancefromtheground.
Youcantemporarilyoverridetheautomatic
operationoftheboomsusingtheboomswitchesto
raiseorloweroneorbothbooms.Ifyouraisea
boomitwillremainraiseduntilyoulowerithalfway
withtheboomswitch;atwhichpointtheautomatic
operationoftheboomcontinues.Ifyouadjust
onlyoneboom,theothercontinuestofunction
automatically.
