FillingtheSprayTank
Important:Ensurethatthechemicalsyouwill
beusingarecompatibleforusewithViton(see
themanufacturer’slabel;itshouldindicateifit
isnotcompatible).Usingachemicalthatisnot
compatiblewithVitonwilldegradetheO-ringsin
thesprayer,causingleaks.
1.Stopthesprayeronalevelsurface,movetherange
selectortotheNeutralposition,stoptheengine,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Determinetheamountofwaterneededtomixthe
amountofchemicalyouneedasprescribedbythe
chemicalmanufacturer.
3.Openthetankcoveronthespraytank.
Thetankcoverislocatedinthecenterofthetopof
thetank(
Figure40).Toopenit,turnthefronthalf
ofthecovercounterclockwiseandswingitopen.
Youcanremovethestrainerinsideforcleaning.To
sealthetank,closethecoverandrotatethefront
halfclockwise.

Important:Alwaysusefreshcleanwaterin
thespraytank.Donotpourconcentrateinto
anemptytank.
5.Starttheengine,engagethePTO,andsetthehand
throttleifequipped.
6.Turntheagitationcontrolvalvetothe9o’clock
positiontostartagitationinthetank.
7.Addtheproperamountofchemicalconcentrateto
thetank,asdirectedbythechemicalmanufacturer.
Important:Ifyouareusingawettablepowder,
mixthepowderwithasmallamountofwaterto
formaslurrybeforeaddingittothetank
8.Addtheremainingwatertothetank.
Note:Betteragitationcanbeachievedby
decreasingtheapplicationratesetting.
OperatingtheBooms
Theboomliftswitchesonthesprayercontrolpanel
allowsyoutomovetheboomsbetweentransport
positionandspraypositionwithoutleavingthe
Operator’sseat.Itisrecommendedtochangeboom
positionswhilethemachineisstationary.
Tochangetheboomposition:
1.Stopthemachineonlevelground.
2.Usetheboomliftswitchestolowerbooms.Wait
untiltheboomsreachthefull,extendedspray
position.
3.Whentheboomsneedtoberetracted,stopthe
sprayeronlevelground.
4.Usetheboomliftswitchestoraisethebooms.Raise
theboomsuntilhavemovedcompletelyintoboom
transportcradleformingthe“X”transportposition
andtheboomcylindersarefullyretracted.
Important:Topreventdamagetotheboom
actuatorcylinder,makesuretheactuatorsare
fullyretractedbeforetransport.
Important:Releasetheactuatorswitchonce
theboomshavereachedthedesiredposition.
Runningtheactuatorsagainstthestopswill
causethemotorstooverheat,trippingthe
breakersandriskdamagingtheactuators.
TheBoomTransportCradle
Thesprayerisequippedwithaboomtransportcradle
thathasauniquesafetyfeature.Intheeventof
accidentalboomcontactwithalowoverheadobject
whileinthetransportposition,theboom(s)canbe
pushedoutofthetransportcradles.Ifthisoccurs,the
boomswillcometorestinanearhorizontalposition
totherearofthevehicle.Whiletheboomswillnot
bedamagedduetothismovement,theyshouldbe
immediatelyputbackintothetransportcradle.
Important:Theboomscanbedamagedby
transportingtheminanypositionotherthanthe
“X”transportpositionusingtheboomtransport
cradle.
Toputtheboomsbackintothetransportcradle,
lowertheboom(s)tothesprayposition,andthenraise
theboom(s)backintothetransportposition.Make
