T he full bed w eighs appr o ximatel y 210
pounds, so do not tr y to install or r emo v e
it by y our self. Get the help of tw o or thr ee
other people or use an o v erhead crane.
5. Lift the bed off the v ehicle .
6. Store the cylinders in storag e clips . Eng ag e
the h y draulic lift loc k lev er on the v ehicle
to prev ent accidental extension of the lift
cylinders .

Preparing the Workman ®

Procedure
1. P ark the v ehicle in a safe w ork space with
access to a lift.
2. T ur n the engine off and remo v e the k ey .
3. Disconnect the neg ati v e batter y cable from the
post.
Note: T his is a safety precaution since the
installation will require installing an electrical
har ness .

Installing the Vehicle Speed

Procedure
Important: T he speed sensor must be
installed prior to the installation of the
P o w er T ak e Of f (PT O) kit. If a PT O kit w as
pr eviousl y installed it must be r emo v ed at this
time. See the PT O kit Installation Instr uctions
f or mor e inf or mation on r emo ving and
installing the PT O kit.
1. R emo v e the four bolts securing the co v er to
the top of the transaxle housing ( Figure 5 ).

2. Apply R TV sealant to the new co v er assembly
before installing it onto the transaxle unit.
