7. Install a J-clip in the R OPS co v er behind the

operator using a bolt (1/4 x 1 inc h) and a

n ut (1/4 inc h). T he hole is on the centerline ,

appro ximately 20 inc hes in from the operator’ s

side edg e of the R OPS co v er .

Note: If a hole is not present, one m ust be

drilled. Drill a 1/4 inc h hole in the top surface

of the co v er on the centerline appro ximately

20 inc hes from the edg e on the operator’ s side

( Figure 24 ).

Installing the Boom

Assembly

Parts needed for this step:

Center boom assembly

Bolt (3/8 x 1-1/4 inches)

Lock nut (3/8 inch)

Boom transport cradle

Bolt (1/2 x 1-1/4 inches)

Flange nut (1/2 inch)

Left boom extension

Right boom extension

Procedure

1. Locate and remo v e the center boom assembly

from pac kaging .

2. Install the boom transpor t cradles to the center

boom using 6 bolts (3/8 x 1-1/4 inc hes) and 6

loc k n uts (3/8 inc h). Orientate them as sho wn

in Figure 25
