3. Use liquid soap to coat the hose barb of the

tee connections on both extension booms

( Figure 29 ). Install the boom extension hose

o v er the barb and secure it with a clamp .

hose to the soaped barb and secure it with a

Installing the Nozzles

No Parts Required

Procedure

T he nozzles y ou use to apply y our c hemicals v ar y

de pending on the rate of application that y ou need;

therefore , nozzles are not supplied with the kit. T o

obtain the cor rect nozzles for y our needs , contact

y our A uthorized T oro Distributor and be pre pared

to gi v e them then follo wing infor mation:

• T he recommended application rate in US

g allons per acre , US g allons per 1000 sq ft, or

liters per hectare .

• T he targ et speed or the v ehicle in miles per

hour or kilometers per hour .

• T he nozzle spacing (typically 20 inc hes or 50

cm).

T o install a nozzle , complete the follo wing:

1. T hread or inser t the nozzle into the nozzle

rece ptacle follo w ed b y a g ask et.

2. Slide the nozzle rece ptacle o v er the nozzle

ﬁtting on a tur ret.

3. T ur n the nozzle cloc kwise to loc k the cams on

the rece ptacle in place .

4. V erify the fan por tion of the nozzle .
