If y ou lea v e the k ey in the ignition s witch, someone could accidentl y star t the engine and
seriousl y injur e y ou or other bystander s.
R emo v e the k ey fr om the ignition and disconnect the wir e(s) fr om the spar k plug(s) bef or e
y ou do an y maintenance. Set the wir e(s) aside so that it does not accidentall y contact the
spar k plug(s).

Accessing the Machine
Rasing the Tank Assembly
T he spray er tank assembl y r epr esents
a stor ed energ y hazard. If not pr oper l y
r etained when installing or r emo ving the
assembl y it can mo v e or f all and injur e y ou
or other bystander s.
Use straps and an o v erhead lift to suppor t the
spray er tank assembl y during installation,
r emo v al or an y maintenance when the
r etaining f astener s ar e being r emo v ed.
An empty tank assembly can be tipped or raised
up to allo w full access to the engine and other
inter nal components . It is recommended to pi v ot
the boom extension forw ard to distribute the
w eight more ev enly . Use the follo wing procedure
1. P ark the v ehicle with an empty tank on a lev el
surface .
2. Use the boom control switc hes to raise the
boom extension to appro ximately 45°. T hen
stop the mac hine , eng ag e the parking brak e
and remo v e the k ey .
3. F old the boom extensions forw ard, alongside
the tank assembly to distribute the w eight more
ev enly and k ee p it from tipping bac k.
4. R emo v e the tw o forw ard hold do wn bolts and
fasteners and carefully tip the tank assembly up
until the prop rod is eng ag ed.
Lowering the Tank Assembly
1. Raise the tank assembly slightly to diseng ag e
the prop rod and carefully lo w er the tank to
the frame .
2. Install the tw o hold do wn bolts and fasteners
to secure the tank assembly
3. F old the boom extensions rearw ard to the
extended position.
4. Use the boom control switc hes to raise the
boom extensions to the transpor t position.
