Storage
1. P osition the spra yer on a lev el surface , set the
parking brak e , diseng ag e the PTO , stop the
engine , and remo v e the ignition k ey .
2. Clean dir t and g rime from the entire mac hine ,
including the outside of the engine’ s cylinder
head fins and blo w er housing .
Important: Y ou can w ash the machine
with mild detergent and w ater . Do not use
high pr essur e w ater to w ash the machine.
Pr essur e w ashing may dama ge the
electrical system or w ash a w ay necessar y
g r ease at friction points. A v oid ex cessi v e
use of w ater , especiall y near the contr ol
panel, lights, engine, and the batter y .
3. Clean the spra y system; refer to Cleaning ,
pag e 46 .
4. Add a r ust inhibiting, non-alcohol based, R V
antifreeze solution to the system and r un the
pump for a few min utes to circulate it through
the system, then drain the spra y system as
completely as possible .
5. Use the boom lift switc hes to raise the booms .
Raise the booms until ha v e mo v ed completely
into boom transpor t cradle for ming the “X”
transpor t position and the boom cylinders are
fully retracted. Mak e sure the boom cylinders
are fully retracted to prev ent actuator rod
damag e .
6. Inspect the brak es; refer to the W orkman
Operator’ s Manual .
7. Ser vice the air cleaner; refer to the W orkman
Operator’ s Manual .
8. Grease the spra yer; refer to Lubrication ,
pag e 43 .
9. Chec k and tighten all bolts , n uts , and screws .
R e pair or re place any par t that is damag ed.
10. Chec k the condition of all spra y hoses ,
re placing any that are damag ed or w or n.
11. Tighten all hose fittings .
12. P aint all scratc hed or bare metal surfaces .
P aint is a v ailable from y our A uthorized Ser vice
Dealer .
13. Store the mac hine in a clean, dr y g arag e or
storag e area.
14. Co v er the mac hine to protect it and k ee p it
clean.
Removing the Sprayer
If remo ving the spra yer from the W orkman
v ehicle , use the follo wing procedure and reference
the Setup , pag e 12 .
T he spray er tank assembl y r epr esents
a stor ed energ y hazard. If not pr oper l y
r etained when installing or r emo ving the
assembl y it can mo v e or f all and injur e y ou
or other bystander s.
Use straps and an o v erhead lift to suppor t the
spray er tank assembl y during installation,
r emo v al or an y maintenance when the
r etaining f astener s ar e being r emo v ed.
1. Secure and suppor t the spra yer tank assembly
with straps to an o v erhead lift using the eyelets
on the skid frame . T his prev ents the assembly
from shifting when the fasteners securing the
tank assembly to the frame are loosened.
2. Lo w er booms to appro ximately 45° and then
pi v ot them forw ard.
3. Disconnect the wire har ness and PTO shaft.
4. Store the control bo x, using the existing
fasteners , to the left, rear of the tank skid.
5. R emo v e all the fasteners retaining the spra yer
tank assembly to the mac hine frame . R etain
all par ts .
6. Lift the tank assembly 3-4 inc hes and rotate
prop rod to remo v e it. Lift the tank assembly
clear of the v ehicle .
7. W hen the spra yer tank assembly is clear of the
v ehicle , inser t the four jac k stands pro vided
and loc k the jac k stands with the clevis pins
pro vided.
8. Mo v e the v ehicle out of the w a y .
