Important:Afterllingthetankforthersttime,check
thetankstrapsforanyplay.Tightenasnecessary.
1.Stopthesprayeronalevelsurface,movetherange
selectortotheNeutralposition,stoptheengine,and
settheparkingbrake.
2.Determinetheamountofwaterneededtomixthe
amountofchemicalyouneedasprescribedbythe
chemicalmanufacturer.
3.Openthetankcoveronthespraytank.
Thetankcoverislocatedinthecenterofthetopof
thetank(
Figure40).Toopenit,turnthefronthalfof
thecovercounterclockwiseandswingitopen.You
canremovethestrainerinsideforcleaning.Tosealthe
tank,closethecoverandrotatethefronthalfclockwise.

Important:Alwaysusefreshcleanwaterinthe
spraytank.Donotpourconcentrateintoanempty
tank.
5.Starttheengine,engagethePTO,andsetthehand
throttleifequipped.
6.Turntheagitationcontrolvalvetothe9o'clock
positiontostartagitationinthetank.
7.Addtheproperamountofchemicalconcentratetothe
tank,asdirectedbythechemicalmanufacturer.
Important:Ifyouareusingawettablepowder,
mixthepowderwithasmallamountofwaterto
formaslurrybeforeaddingittothetank
8.Addtheremainingwatertothetank.
Note:Betteragitationcanbeachievedbydecreasing
theapplicationratesetting.
OperatingtheBooms
Theboomliftswitchesonthesprayercontrolpanelallows
youtomovetheboomsbetweentransportpositionand
spraypositionwithoutleavingtheOperator'sseat.Itis
recommendedtochangeboompositionswhilethemachine
isstationary.
Tochangetheboomposition:
1.Stopthemachineonlevelground.
2.Usetheboomliftswitchestolowerbooms.Waituntil
theboomsreachthefull,extendedsprayposition.
3.Whentheboomsneedtoberetracted,stopthesprayer
onlevelground.
4.Usetheboomliftswitchestoraisethebooms.Raise
theboomsuntilhavemovedcompletelyintoboom
transportcradleformingthe“X”transportposition
andtheboomcylindersarefullyretracted.
Important:Topreventdamagetotheboom
actuatorcylinder,makesuretheactuatorsarefully
retractedbeforetransport.
TheBoomTransportCradle
Thesprayerisequippedwithaboomtransportcradlethat
hasauniquesafetyfeature.Intheeventofaccidentalboom
contactwithalowoverheadobjectwhileinthetransport
position,theboom(s)canbepushedoutofthetransport
cradles.Ifthisoccurs,theboomswillcometorestina
nearhorizontalpositiontotherearofthevehicle.While
theboomswillnotbedamagedduetothismovement,they
shouldbeimmediatelyputbackintothetransportcradle.
Important:Theboomscanbedamagedbytransporting
theminanypositionotherthanthe“X”transport
positionusingtheboomtransportcradle.
Toputtheboomsbackintothetransportcradle,lowerthe
boom(s)tothesprayposition,andthenraisetheboom(s)
backintothetransportposition.Makesuretheboom
cylindersarefullyretractedtopreventactuatorroddamage.
Spraying
Important:Inordertoensurethatyoursolution
remainswellmixed,usetheagitationfeaturewhenever
youhavesolutioninthetank.Foragitationtowork,the
PTOmustbeengagedandtheenginemustberunning
aboveanidle.Ifyoustopthevehicleandneedagitation
on,placetheshiftleverintheNeutralposition,setthe
parkingbrake,EngagethePTO,engagetheclutch,and
setthehandthrottle,ifequipped.
Note:ThisprocedureassumesthatthePTOisengaged
fromtheFillingtheSprayTankprocedure.
1.Lowertheboomsintoposition.
2.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffposition.The
SprayPromonitorwilldisplay“HOLD”.
3.Settheindividualboomswitches,asneeded,totheOn
positions.
4.Drivetothelocationwhereyouwillbespraying.
