Procedure

1.Movethemachineontoalevelsurface,settheparking

brake,shutoffthepump,shutofftheengine,and

removetheignitionkey.

2.Unlatchtheseatbypushingtheseat-latchhandle

rearward(Figure2).

3.Rotatetheseatandseatplateforwarduntiltheendof

theproprodattheprop-rodbracketisatthebottom

ofthegrooveofthebracket(Figure2).

4.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingtheboltandnut

thatsecurestheterminalofthepositive-batterycable

tothepositivepostofthebattery.

Note:Ensurethattheterminalofthebatterycable

doesnottouchthepost.
