Time

downdelay.Inthispowerdownmode,allthedataisretained
butthetimeofdayclockdoesnotoperate.Thepowerdown
dayisinitiallysetto10days.
1.Pressthe[Time]key5times.
ThedisplayshowsPOWERDOWNDAY .
2.Pressthe[Enter]key.
3.Changethepowerdowndaysetting.
4.Pressthe[Enter]key.
UsingtheConsoleComputer
Alarm
Thisisanoptionalfeature.
Theconsolealarmsoundsiftheapplicationrateis30%or
moreawayfromthetargetapplicationratefor5seconds.
1.Pressthe[DataMenu]keyseveraltimes.
ThedisplayshowsALARMON.Thealarmisenabled.
2.Pressthe[CE]key.
ThedisplayshowsALARMOFF .Thealarmisdisabled.
SettingUptheSystem
Beforeoperatingthespraysystem,performthisprocedure.
1.Readthroughthefollowinginstructionsbeforestarting.
2.Attachthesupplyhosetotheanti-siphontubeandll
thetankhalffullofcleanwater.
Important:Inspectandcleanallsystem
componentsbeforespraying,includingthetank,
strainer,pump,valves,andnozzles.
3.Starttheengine;refertotheOperator’sManualforthe
Multi-Pro
®
5800TurfSprayer.
4.Movethethrottlelevertothemaximumsetting.
5.TurntheBoomOn/OffswitchestotheOffposition.
6.TurntheMan/RateswitchtoMan.
7.TurnthePowerOn/OffswitchtotheOnposition.
8.TurntheSprayPumpControlswitchtotheOn
position.
9.Ensurethatyouhaveenteredthepropervaluesforthe
correctboomwidthandcalibrationsforMeterCal,
Rate1,andRate2.
10.Usetheself-testfeatureasdescribedintheOperator’s
ManualfortheMulti-Pro5800TurfSprayerfortesting
thespraysystemwhilethevehicleisnotmoving.
Note:Theself-testfeaturesimulatesspeedsothatthe
systemmaybetestedwithoutmoving.Thisfeature
willclearitselfwhenthespeedsensordetectsthat
thevehicleisinmotion.Aspeedcalibrationvalue
greaterthanorequalto900(USorTU)or230(SI)is
recommendedwhenoperatinginthismode.
Tosettheself-testfeature,dothefollowing:

itselfoutautomatically,disconnectthespeedconnector
onthebackoftheconsolewhenradarspeedsensors
areused.
A.PresstheSELFTESTbutton.
B.Enterthedesiredsimulatedspeedvalue.
C.Verifythevehicle’sspeedbypressingtheSPEED
button.
11.TurntheBoomswitchestotheOnposition.
Note:Iftheswitchlightsdontturnon,thefoot
switchisoff.TurnthefootswitchtotheOnposition.
12.UsethePressureAdjustswitchtoincreasethepressure
to20psi,thendecreaseitbackto0psi.
13.TurntheMan/RateswitchtoRate1.
Note:Thepumpshouldincreasethepressureuntilit
reachesthedesiredratewiththepropernozzlesize.
14.TurntheMasterBoomControl(foot)switchtothe
Offposition.
15.TurntheAgitationswitchtotheOnposition.
Note:Thesystemstartsthepumpandincreasesthe
pumpspeeduntilthepumpreachesthepresetagitation
pressure.Thesystemgoestothispressurewhenthe
boomsareoffandthepumpandagitationareon.
Fortheinitialsystemsetting,notethepressureonthe
pressuregauge.Turntheagitationbypassvalvetothe
samepressureasitwasbefore.Ifyouwanttoreduce
theagitationorincreasethesupplytotheboomfor
largeapplicationrates,youcanalsopartiallyclosethe
agitationballvalve.
16.Turntheagitationswitchandthepumpswitchtothe
Offposition.
InitiallyField-testingthe
System
Beforeoperatingthespraysystem,performthisprocedure.
1.Drivethevehicleatthedesiredsprayingspeedwiththe
sprayerboomsoff.
2.Pressthe[Speed]keytoverifythespeedreadout.
3.TurntheSpraypumpcontrolswitchtoOn.
4.TurntheProControlXPPowerswitchtotheOn
position.
5.TurntheFootswitchtotheOnposition.
Note:UsetheFootswitchwhenalltheboomsare
tobeturnedon.
