Chemicalsubstancesusedinthespray
systemmaybehazardousandtoxictoyou,
bystanders,animals,plants,soils,orother
property.
•Carefullyreadandfollowthechemical
warninglabelsandmaterialsafetydata
sheets(MSDS)forallchemicalsusedand
protectyourselfaccordingtothechemical
manufacturer'srecommendations.For
example,useappropriatepersonal
protectiveequipment(PPE)including
faceandeyeprotection,gloves,orother
equipmenttoguardagainstpersonal
contactwiththechemical.
•Keepinmindthattheremaybemorethan
1chemicalusedandinformationoneach
shouldbeassessed.
•Refusetooperateorworkonthesprayerif
thisinformationisnotavailable!
•Beforeworkingonaspraysystem
makesurethesystemhasbeentriple
rinsedandneutralizedaccordingto
therecommendationsofthechemical
manufacturer(s).
•Verifythereisanadequatesupplyofclean
waterandsoapnearby,andimmediately
washoffanychemicalsthatcontactyou.
•Obtainpropertrainingbeforeusingorhandling
chemicals.
•Usethecorrectchemicalforthejob.
•Followthechemicalmanufacturer'sinstructionsfor
thesafeapplicationofthechemical.
•Handlechemicalsinawell-ventilatedarea.
•Weargogglesandotherprotectiveequipmentas
instructedbythechemicalmanufacturer.Ensure
thataslittleskinaspossibleisexposedwhile
usingchemicals.
•Havecleanwateravailableespeciallywhenlling
thespraytank.
•Donoteat,drink,orsmokewhileworkingwith
chemicals.
•Alwayswashyourhandsandotherexposedareas
assoonaspossibleafternishingthework.
•Properlydisposeofunusedchemicalsand
chemicalcontainersasinstructedbythechemical
manufacturerandyourlocalcodes.
•Chemicalsandfumesinthetanksaredangerous;
neverenterthetankorplaceyourheadoveror
intheopening.
•Followalllocal,state,andfederalrequirementsfor
thesprayingofchemicals.
