Trailer Towing
The Workman Vehicle is capable of pulling trailers and
attachments of greater weight than the vehicle itself.
When equipped with the H.D. Draw Bar Kit, your
Workman can tow trailers or attachments with a Gross
Trailer Weight (GTW) up to 1500 lbs. without trailer
brakes, and trailers up to 3500 lbs Gross Trailer Weight
(GTW) when trailer brakes are installed.
Always load a trailer with 60 percent of the cargo weight in
the front of the trailer. This places approximately 10
percent of the Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) on the H.D.
Draw Bar. The maximum tongue weight allowed is 400 lbs.
Important When brakes are used on trailers, insure
that the brakes will function in both forward and reverse
travel directions. Loss of vehicle control is possible if loss
of traction occurs or when stopping on a hill is required.
When hauling cargo or towing a trailer (attachment), do not
overload your vehicle or trailer. Overloading can cause
poor performance or damage to the brakes, axle, engine,
transaxle, steering, suspension, body structure or tires.
Important To reduce potential for drive line damage,
use low range.
Important Use only trailer ball mounts, trailer balls,
and/or other hitch components with capacity equal or
greater than the Gross Trailer Weight of Trailer
(attachment) being towed.
