loadcapacity.Theadditionalweight
willcausetippingorrollingofthetow
vehicleandleadtoseriousinjury.
–Donotdriveacrossahill,alwaysdrive
straightupordown.Avoidturningona
hill.Donot"droptheclutch"orslamon
thebrakes.Suddenspeedchangecan
initiateatip-over.
•Intightareas,whereastraightlinepassacrossa
greenisnotpossible,youcanbackthemachine
intotheareawithoutharmandbegintopdressing
whenpullingforward.
•Beforebackingup,looktotherearandassure
thatnooneisbehind.Backupslowlyandwatch
themachineclosely.
•Useextremecautionandslowspeedwhen
backingupthemachineandtractionunit.
•Themaximumrecommendedtowingspeedofthe
machineis24kph(15mph)whenemptyand13
kph(8mph)whenloaded.Aswithanytrailer,
alwaysusecautionwhenturningorbackingup.Be
awareofpersonsorobjectsnearthetopdresser
pathoftravel.
•Watchoutfortrafcwhennearorcrossingroads.
Alwaysyieldtherightofwaytopedestriansand
othervehicles.
•Ifthetopdresserbeginstovibrateabnormally,
stopthetractionunit,engagetheparkingbrake,
shutoffengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostop.Repairanywearordamage
beforetowingthemachine.
•Ifyouhearcavitationnoisewhiletransportingthe
machineacrossthegolfcourse,slowdown,return
tomaintenance,andinvestigatethecause.Do
notexceedthe13kph(8mph)towspeed.This
machinewasnotdesignedfortravelonhighways.
Towingthemachinefasterthan24kph(15mph)
willdamagetheinternalhydrauliccomponents.
•Beforeservicingormakinganyadjustmentstothe
topdresser:
–Stopthetractionunitandsettheparkingbrake.
–Shutofftheengine,removekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operator’sseat.
•Keepallhardwaretightsecure.Installall
serviceablepartsremovedduringmaintenance
oradjustments.
•Whenloadingthetop-dressingmaterialintothe
hopper,becarefulthattheloaderorskidsteer
bucketdoesnotstrikeanddamagethehopper.
Althoughthehopperisdesignedwideenoughto
clearmostbuckets,itisnotstrongenoughtotake
acontactandmaydeformthesheetmetal.
•Materialapplicationisalwaysbestwithdry
material,butwetsandcanbespreadwiththe
machine.Youmayneedtoadjustthegatesetting,
butthematerialshouldowoutandspread
relativelysmoothandconsistent.Ifthebeltslips,
checkthebelttensionandclean-outprovisions.
•Top-dressingmaterialcanvaryingrainsizeaswell
asmoisturecontent.Itcanalsocontainimpurities
thatmayeitherdamagegreensmowersorplant
tissue.Alwayscontrolthesourceoftop-dressing
material,andusecarewhenhandlingandloading
it.
•Asightwindowisprovidedattherightfront
hopperpaneltomonitorremainingmaterialwhile
topdressing.Itisagoodpracticetocheckthesight
windowandforhoppervolumebeforebeginning
applicationtoassurethatyoudonotrunoutof
top-dressingmaterialinthemiddleofthepass.
•Thespecialoscillatingdriveaxlesonthemachine
aredesignedtocontinuouslypowerthehydraulic
systemwhilethemachinetravelsoversurface
irregularitiesofagreenortee.Alwaysapproacha
severebermslowlytoavoidsuddenimpactofthe
axleswiththeturf,andtoreducethepotentialof
leavingtiremarksontheapproachtothegreen.

Rotatingpartsofthemachinecangrabor
pinchyou.
Stayclearofbrushandconveyorbeltwhile
unitisrunning.
