explosionfromgasolinecanburnyouand
othersandcandamageproperty.
Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,toensurethat
thefueltankwilldraincompletely.
2.Stoptheengine,andremovethekey.
3.Shutofffuelvalveunderfueltank.
4.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthelter.
5.Pullthefuellineoffofthefuellter,openthefuel
valve,andallowthegasolinetodrainintoagascan
ordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.
6.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.
7.Slidethehoseclampclosetothefuelltertosecure
thefuelline.
8.Openthefuelvalve.

2.Opencoverstoseeintothecells.Theelectrolyte
mustbeuptothelowerpartofthetube(Figure29).
