Important:Donotengagestarterformorethan
10secondsatatime.Ifenginefailstostartallow
30secondcool-downperiodbetweenattempts.
Failuretofollowtheseinstructionscanburnout
startermotor.
5.Aftertheenginestarts,movethechokecontroltothe
offposition.Iftheenginestallsorhesitates,movethe
chokebacktotheONpositionforafewseconds,then
settheenginespeedtothedesiredsetting.Repeatthis
asrequired.
StoppingtheEngine
1.Decreasetheenginespeedmidwaybetweentheslow
andfastpositions.
2.Lettheengineidlefor20seconds.
3.PresstheSTOPbuttonontheremotecontrol.
4.Ifleavingthemachine,rotatethekeytotheOFF
positionandremoveitfromtheengine(Figure10).

Theremotecontrolactivates(powersup)whenanypush
buttonispressed.BlinkingTXandRXLEDsindicatethat
theremotecontrolisaliveandcommunicatingwiththe
baseunit.Toconservebatterypower,theremotecontrol
staysactiveforapproximatelythree(3)secondsbefore
automaticallyshuttingdownunlessthereisbuttonactivity
withinthethreesecondlimit.Whentheunittimesoutand
powersdown,allremotecontrolLEDactivitystops(Figure
12).Pressinganybuttonwillreactivatetheremotecontrol

PowerSaveMode
ThebaseunitwillreverttoPowerSaveModeuntilapower
cycleoccursifthebaseunitisactiveformorethan2.5
hourswithoutcommunicationfromtheremotecontrol.
PowerSaveModeisalowcurrentstateofthebaseunit.In
PowerSaveMode,thebaseunitwillnotcommunicatewith
theremotecontrol,willnotactivateoutputs,andwillnot
generallyfunctionasnormal.
Wheninthetime-outmodetheenginewillnotrun(or
willquitrunning)andtheremotecontrolwillnotcontrol
anyfunction.
Towakecontrollerintime-outmode,turnthekeyswitch
totheOFFpositionandthenturnthekeyswitchtothe
startpositionmomentarily(enginewillturnover).
Toavoidcontrollertime-outduringoperation,usethe
remotecontroltorotatethechuteorchangetheengine
speedatleastevery2.5hours.
