CheckingtheEngineOilLevel
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Note:Thebesttimetochecktheengineoiliswhenthe
engineiscoolbeforeithasbeenstartedfortheday.Ifit
hasalreadybeenrun,allowtheoiltodrainbackdown
tothesumpforatleast10minutesbeforechecking.If
theoillevelisatorbelowthe‘add’markonthedipstick,
addoiltobringtheoilleveltothe‘full’mark.DONOT
OVERFILL.Iftheoillevelisbetweenthe‘full’and
‘add’marks,nooiladditionisrequired.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Turntheignitionkeytooff,andremovethekey.
3.Cleanaroundtheoildipstick(
Figure21)sothatdirt
cannotfallintothellerholeanddamagetheengine.

4.Unscrewtheoildipstickandwipetheendclean
(Figure21).
5.Slidetheoildipstickfullyintothellertube,butdo
notthreadontotube(Figure21).
6.Pullthedipstickoutandlookatthemetalend.Ifthe
oillevelislow ,slowlypouronlyenoughoilintothe
llertubetoraisetheleveltotheFullmark.
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewith
oilandruntheengine.Enginedamagecan
result.
ChangingtheOil
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
1.Starttheengineandletitrunveminutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachinesothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoensuretheoildrains
completely.
3.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Placeapanbelowthedrain.Rotateoildrainvalveto
allowoiltodrain(
Figure22).
Note:Ahosemaybeinsertedontothedrainvalve
todirecttheoilow.Thehoseisnotincludedwith
themachine.
5.Whenoilhasdrainedcompletely,closethedrain
valve.
Note:Disposeoftheusedoilatarecyclingcenter.
