InstallingtheSparkPlugs
1.Installthesparkplugsandthemetalwasher.Ensure
thattheairgapissetcorrectly.
2.Tightenthesparkplugsto18to22ft-lb(24.4to
29.8N-m).
3.Connectthewirestothesparkplugs(Figure25).
ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every500hours
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
1.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
2.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclampstogetherand
slidethemawayfromthelter(
Figure27).

Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereasparkmay
ignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethat
thefueltanksdraincompletely.
2.Stoptheengineandremovethekey.
3.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(
Figure27).
4.Disconnectthefuellinefromthefuellter
(
Figure27).

canordrainpan(Figure27).
Note:Thisisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuellter
becausethefueltankisempty.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothefuelltertosecurethefuelline

Beforeeachuse,checkandcleantheenginescreenand
oilcooler.Removeanybuildupofgrass,dirtorother
debrisfromtheoilcoolerandenginescreen(
