ConnectingtheProPasstothe
TowVehicle

Procedure
WARNING
DonotstandbetweentheProPassandthetow
vehicleduringcoupling.
1.Adjustthehitchheightbyturningthejackstand
handle(s)tokeeptheProPasslevel.
Important:Thehitchpinmustbehigh-strength
andapprovedfortowvehicles.
2.Connecttheclevis-stylehitchoftheProPasstothe
towvehicleusinga3/4in(18mm)diameterhitch
pinandsafetyclip.Installthehitchpinthroughthe
ProPasshitchandthetowvehicle’sdrawbaron
tow-behindchassisandthroughthesuppliedhitch
mountonTrucksterdirectconnect.
3.Lowerthehitchusingthejackstand(s).
4.WhenthefullweightoftheProPasshasbeen
transferredtothetowvehicle’sdrawbarfromthe
jackstand(s),pullthepinholdingthejackstand(s)
inplace.
5.Ontow-behindchassisturnthejackstand90degrees
counter-clockwiseuntilthebottomofthejackstand
pointstotherearoftheProPass.Thisisthetraveling
position.
6.OnTrucksterdirectconnectchassismovethejack
standstotherearofthemachineandturnthem90
degreesuntilthebottomofbothjackstandspoints
tothecenteroftheProPass.Thisisthetraveling
position
CAUTION
Raiseandstowthejack(s)intothetraveling
positionbeforetowingtheProPass.
7.Attachthepressurehoseandthereturnhoseto
thecorrecthydraulicoutputsonthetowvehicle.
Thereturnhosehasaninlinecheckvalve.Ifthe
hosesarereversed,someProPassfunctionsmayrun
backwardsornotworkatall.Testthehydraulics
beforeoperatingtheProPassforthersttime.
Important:Thehydrauliclines,thepower
cable,andthependantcablesmustnotdragon
thegroundduringoperation.Avoidlocations
wheretheycouldbecomepinchedorcut.
8.Plugtheintermediatewireharnessintothetow
vehiclepowerconnector.
9.Checkthehydraulicoillevelinthetankandadd
moretollit,ifnecessary.(Seethetowvehicle’s
owner’smanual).

Procedure
1.ParkthetowvehicleandtheProPassondry,level
ground.
2.Settheparkingbrakeonthetowvehicle,shutoffthe
engine,andremovethekey.
3.PlaceblocksundertwowheelsoftheProPass(front
andback).
4.Relievethepressurefromthehydraulicsystem.
5.Disconnectthehydraulichoses,coilandstorethem
onthefrontoftheProPass.
6.Disconnecttheintermediatepowercordfromthe
towvehicle.
7.Ontow-behindchassis,turnthejackstand90
degrees(clockwise)tothedownpositiontosupport
theProPass
8.OnTrucksterdirectconnectchassis,movethejack
standstothefrontofthemachineandturnthem90
degreesuntilthebottomofbothjackstandspoints
totheground.
9.LifttheProPasswiththejackstand(s)untilthe
weightisoffthetowvehicle’sdrawbar.Pulloutthe
hitchpin.
10.Ensurethatthereisnofurtherconnectionbetween
theProPassandthetowvehicle.
