Installing/ReplacingtheBatteries
1.PlacetheRemotefacedownandremovethefour
screwsholdingthebatterycoverinplace.Remove
thebatterycover.
Note:Thefourscrewsholdingthebatterycover
inplaceare‘captive’tothecover—thecover
holesarethreaded.Althoughtheyarenoteasily
removedfromthecoveritself,beawarethatthe
screwsifover-loosenedwhileopeningthebattery
compartmentcanbecompletelyremovedincreasing
theriskofloss.
2.Removethedischargedbatteriesandproperly
disposeinaccordancewithlocalregulations.
3.Plugeachfreshbatteryintoaterminalcradle
observingproperpolarity.(Ifthebatteriesare
improperlyinstalled,theunitwillnotbedamaged,
butitwillfailtooperate.)Thecradleisembossed
withpolaritymarkingsforeachterminal(
Figure48).
Makesuretheyarermlyseatedintheunit.
4.Replacethebatterycover.Securethecoverwiththe
fourscrews.Makesuretheyaretightenedenoughto
compresstheseal,butbecarefulnottoover-tighten.

ConveyorBeltandRollers
Checkthattheconveyorbeltistrackingstraighton
therollersanddoesnotslip.Makeadjustmentsif
necessary.SeetheConveyorBeltTrackingProcedure
inthismanual.
Checkthefrontandrearrollerbearingseverytwo
monthsforwearorvisibledamage.
Checktheconditionandtensionofthedrivechain
andthesprockets.
Important:Checkfortrappedspreading
materialbetweenconveyorbed,belt,androllers.

ConveyorBeltTensioning
Performthetensioningprocedureonlyifthebeltis
slipping,ifithasbeenreplaced,orifithasbeenloosened
toreplaceotherparts.
1.Placethebelt’sV-guideintheguidesofthefrontand
rearrollers.
2.Tightenthetwobeltadjustmentnutsevenlyuntil
thebeltissnug.(Ifnecessary,removethefrontidler
rollercoverandtherearchutecover).
3.FullyloadtheProPasswiththeheaviestmaterialyou
expecttouse.
4.Withtwowrenches,holdtheendofthetensioner
rodstationaryandthenloosenthelockingnut,which
isthenutclosesttotheendoftherod(
