interpretedasarequesttoeitherstartthemboth,
ortostarttheonethatwasnotrunning.Nothing
isstoredandthecommandspreviewedarethe
previouslystoredFloorandtheOptioncommands.
Itisimportanttorealizethatthestoredcommand
fortheFloorisusedtwice,onceintheeventofan
individualcommandusingFLOORSTART
,
andonceintheeventofacombinedactionusing
ALLSTART;ineithercase,itisthesame
number.
OptionStart
UponinitiallypressingOPTIONSTART(where
theOptionisnotrunning),theHandhelddisplay
showsthestoredsettingandduringthistimean
OFFcommandiscontinuouslysenttotheBase
UnittoensuretheoutputremainsOFF .Inthis
previewmode,anSisdisplayedafterOPT—OPTS
isdisplayed—indicatingtheHandheldisinaSET
ONLYmode.Inthispreviewmode,thesettingcanbe
adjustedupordownasdesiredusingtheIncreaseFloor
SpeedandDecreaseFloorSpeedbuttons,buttheactual
outputattheBaseUnitremainsOFF .Thisisuseful
asitallowstheoperatortopresetadesiredoption
speedsetting,orusethestoredsetting,withoutcausing
unwantedmovement.Uponsettlingonadesiredspeed,
theOPTIONSTARTbuttoncanbepressedagain
causingtheBaseUnitoutputtoramptothechosen
setting.PressingOPTIONSTART
forathird
timecausesthecurrentvaluetobestoredinthecurrent
workingmemory.
Note:ChangestotheOptionsettingwhiletheOption
isrunningareimmediatelyeffective,buttheyare
temporaryunlessthesettingisstored.Forinstance,
anadjustmentismadewhilethedisplayshowsOPTS,
theOptionisstartedrampingtotheadjustedsetting,
andthentheHandheldRemoteisturnedoff(powered
down)withoutstoringthechange.Thesettingwill
reverttothepreviouslystoredvaluethenexttimethe
HandheldRemoteisused.
Note:Aten(10)secondtimerstartswhenthe
OPTIONSTART
buttonispressedandOPTS
(SETONLYmode)displays.Ifabuttonpressisnot
sensedduringthetensecondinterval,thedisplay
revertstoOPTandthepreviousstate/valuedisplays
andisenforced.Thetimerresetstotensecondsifany
buttonispressedwhiletheHandheldisintheSET
ONLYmode.
ChangeorStoretheOptionSpeed
Setting
ThestartingspeedfortheOptionoutputcanbe
changedatwill.Whenchanged,thenewvalueis
notstoredinthecurrentworkingmemoryunlessthe
OPTIONSTARTbuttonorALLSTART
buttonispressedagainwhiletheOptionisactive.The
storedvalueisusedanytimethereafterwhentheALL
STARTispressedorwhentheOPTIONSTART
ispressed.Tochangethevalue:
1.PresstheOPTIONSTARTbutton.The
previewvaluedisplays.
2.Adjustthecommandtothedesiredspeedsetting
usingtheOPTIONINCREASESPEED
buttonortheOPTIONDECREASESPEED
buttonwhilewatchingtheLCD.
3.PresstheOPTIONSTARTbuttonagainto
starttheBaseUnitOptionOutput.
4.PresstheOPTIONSTART
buttononcemore.
TheLCDacknowledgesthenewstoredcommand
bydisplayingOPTIONSTORE.Thisvalueisused
wheneithertheOPTIONSTARTorALL
STARTbuttonispressed.
