Important:Donotputlargeorheavyobjects
intothehopper.Materialthatislargerthanthe
reargateopeningmaydamagethebeltand
reargateassembly.Alsoensurethattheload
hasauniformtexture.Smallrocksinsandcan
becomeprojectiles.
WARNING
Donotcarrypassengersinthehopper.
Unloading
WARNING
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthehopperguard
onthespinnerguardandthespinnerassembly
whenthemachineisoperatingorwhenthe
hydraulicpowerpackengine,onthetowvehicle,
isrunning.
DonotstandbehindtheProPasswhenunloadingor
spreading.TheTwinSpinnerejectsparticlesanddust
atahighspeed.
DonotunloadtheProPasswhileitisonaslope.
WARNING
EnsurethattheProPassisconnectedtothetow
vehiclebeforeunloading.Otherwise,theloadmay
shiftandtheProPassmaytipover.
Traveling
TheProPassisdesignedonlyforoff-roaduse.The
maximumrecommendedspeedwithoutaloadis15
mph(24km/h).
MaintainsafecontroloftheProPass.Donotattempt
sharpturns,abruptmanoeuvres,orotherunsafedriving
actions.
Slowdownbeforeturning,especiallyonwet,sandy,and
slipperysurfaces.Turningclearancesarelimitedifyou
haveanoptionmountedontheProPass.
CAUTION
Beawareofyoursurroundingswhenturningor
backingup.Ensurethattheareaisclearandkeep
allbystandersatasafedistance.Proceedslowly.
Turnofftheoptionwhenapproachingpeople,vehicles,
vehiclecrossings,orpedestriancrossings.
Note:Heavyloadsandwetorroughsurfacesincrease
thetimeittakestostop,andreducetheabilitytoturn
quicklyandsafely.
Hills
WARNING
Useextremecautionwhentravelingonhills,
especiallywhenturning.
Alwaystravelstraightupanddownhills—donottravel
sidewaysoronadiagonal.Stoppingdistanceincreases
whentravelingdownahill.
Reducetheweightoftheloadwhentravelingonhills.
Avoidpilingtheloadhigh—ahighercenterofgravity
increasestheriskoftheProPasstippingoveronhills.
IfyouhaveanoptionontheProPass,beawareofthe
groundclearancewhentravelingonhills.Whenthe
ProPassbeginstotravelupaslopethegroundclearance
decreases.
Parking
AlwaysparktheProPassonarm,horizontal,andlevel
surface.PlaceblocksundertwowheelsoftheProPass
(frontandback).
WARNING
DonotdisconnecttheProPassfromthetow
vehicleonaslope.Ensurethatthefrontjackisin
thesupportposition.
Torotatethejackstandfromadownsupportposition
toatravelinghorizontalposition,pulloutthejack
standsupportpinandswivelthejack.Ensurethatthe
jackstandisattachedtotheProPassandinthecorrect
positionduringoperation.OnTorotow-behindchassis
thejackstandislocatedonthehitchtube(Figure40).
OnTrucksterdirectconnectchassistwojackstandsare
used(Figure41).Usethejackstoragemountsonthe
rearofthechassisduringoperation.
