1.Checkthatthebattery-cableclampsaresecure
andtightenanyloosebattery-cableclamps
hardware.
2.Checkthebattery-cableclampsandbattery
terminalsforcorrosion;Iftheterminalsare
corroded,dothefollowing:
A.Removethecarriageboltandnutthat
securethenegativebatterycable(black)to
thenegative(–)terminalanddisconnectthe
negativecable.
B.Removethecarriageboltandnutthat
securethepositivebatterycable(red)tothe
positive(+)batteryterminalanddisconnect
thepositivecable.
C.Cleanthecableclampsandbattery
terminals.
D.Connectthepositivebatterycable(red)
tothepositive(+)batteryterminalwith
thepreviouslyremovedcarriageboltand
nut;slidetherubberbootoverthepositive
terminaltopreventapossibleshortfrom
occurring.
E.Connectthenegativebatterycable(black)
tothenegative(–)terminalofthebattery
withthepreviouslyremovedcarriagebolt
andnut.
F.Coatthecableterminalsandbatteryposts
withGrafo112Xskin-overgrease(T oroPart
No.505-47).
OperatingTips
Connecttheclevishitchtothetowvehicle.Usea
high-strengthhitchpinapprovedfortowvehicles.
Turnonthefuelvalve,placethethrottlelever
athalfthrottle,engagethechoke,andstartthe
engine.Oncetheenginestarts,turnoffthechoke
andincreasethethrottletomaximum.
T estthemachineoperation.Ensurethatthere
arenohydraulicleaksandmakeanyadditional
adjustments.
Aftertestingthehydraulicsystem,checkthe
hydraulicuidandaddmoreifrequired.
Note:Ensurethatthependantandanycordsdo
notdragonthegroundduringoperation.
