Checkthattheconveyorbeltistrackingstraighton
therollersanddoesnotslip.Makeadjustmentsif
necessary.RefertoAdjustingtheTrackingofthe
ConveyorBelt(page38).
Checkthefrontandrearrollerbearingsevery2
monthsforwearorvisibledamage.
Checktheconditionandtensionofthedrivechain
andthesprockets.
Important:Checkfortrappedspreading
materialbetweenconveyorbed,belt,and
rollers.RefertoWashingtheMachine(page
39).
AdjustingtheConveyorBelt
Tension
Performthetensioningprocedureonlyifthebeltis
slipping,ifithasbeenreplaced,orifithasbeen
loosenedtoreplaceotherparts.
1.Placethebelt’sV-guideintheguidesofthefront
andrearrollers.
2.Tightenthe2beltadjustmentnutsevenlyuntil
thebeltissnug.
Note:Ifnecessary,removethefrontidlerroller
coverandtherearchutecover.
3.Fullyloadthemachinewiththeheaviestmaterial
youexpecttouse.
4.With2wrenches,holdtheendofthetensioner
rodstationaryandthenloosenthelockingnut,
whichisthenutclosesttotheendoftherod
(Figure55).

AdjustingtheTrackingofthe
ConveyorBelt
Theconveyorbeltsystemisself-tracking.Boththe
frontandrearrollershaveagrooveinthemiddlefor
thebelt’sV-guidetorunin.Sometimes,thebeltmay
trackoutsidethegrooves.Totrackthebelt,dothe
following:
1.Determinewhichsidethebeltistracking
towards.
2.Removethesafetycoversfrombothfront
corners.
3.Onthesidethebeltistrackingtowards,holdthe
endofthetensionerrodstationary,thenloosen
thelockingnutandtightentheadjusternutby2
atsofthenut(Figure55).
4.Tightenbothlockingnutsandturnonthe
conveyorbelt.
5.Checkthetrackingmovement.Repeatthe
abovestepsuntilthebelttracksbacktothe
correctposition.
Important:Bepatient!Donotover-tension
thebelt.
6.Installbothofthesafetycovers.
