WashingtheMachine
Salts,roadtar,treesap,fertilizers,orchemicalsmay
damagethepaintednishofthemachine.Washoff
thesedepositsassoonaspossiblewithdetergentand
water.Additionalcleanersorsolventsmaybeneeded,
butensurethattheyaresafeforpaintedsurfaces.
WARNING
Flammableuidsandcleanerswithtoxic
vaporsarehazardoustoyourhealth.
Donotuseammableuidsorcleanerswith
toxicvapors.Followthemanufacturer’s
recommendations.
Important:Donotuseahigh-pressurewasher.
Thiscanremovepaint,safetydecals,andgrease,
andcanalsodamagecomponents.
1.Removetheoptionbeforecleaningandwash
itseparately.
2.Removethehandheldremote.
3.Washthebodyofthemachinewithwarmwater
andamilddetergent
4.Completelyrinseoffthedetergentresiduewith
cleanwaterbeforeitdries.
5.Removethebeltcleaningscraperassembly
fromtherearofthemachine(Figure56).

6.Raisethefrontofthemachineashighas
necessary.
7.Ifyouhaveatruck-mountedmachine,usethe
liftcylinderonthetowvehicle.(Seethetow
vehicle’sownersmanual.)
8.Ifyouhaveatow-behindorTrucksterdirect
connectchassis,usethejackstandonthe
chassis.
9.Fullyopenthereargateandspraywaterinside
thehopperassemblyandthereargatearea.
Inspectthesidesealsandreplaceifnecessary.
10.Locatetheclean-outdecalonthefrontofthe
machine(Figure57),usingagardenhose,spray
throughthefrontguardmeshuntilthebellypan
iscompletelyclearofmaterial(Figure58).
Note:Whenthecoversareremovedfor
greasing,taketheopportunitytowashoutany
trappedspreadingmaterial.
