Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineiscold.Wipeupanygasoline
thatspills.
Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Add
gasolinetothefueltankuntilthelevelis25mm
(1inch)belowthetopofthetank.Thisempty
spaceinthetankallowsthegasolinetoexpand.
Neversmokewhenhandlinggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwheregasoline
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
Storegasolineinanapprovedcontainerand
keepitoutofthereachofchildren.Neverbuy
morethana30-daysupplyofgasoline.
Alwaysplacegasolinecontainersontheground
awayfromyourvehiclebeforelling.
Donotllgasolinecontainersinsideavehicleor
onatruckortrailerbed,becauseinteriorcarpets
orplastictruck-bedlinersmayinsulatethe
containerandslowthelossofanystaticcharge.
Whenpractical,removegas-poweredequipment
fromthetruckortrailerandfueltheequipment
withthewheelsontheground.Ifthisisnot
possible,thenfuelsuchequipmentonatruck
ortrailerfromaportablecontainer,ratherthan
fromagasolinedispensernozzle.
Ifagasoline-dispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimofthe
fueltankorcontaineropeningatalltimesuntil
fuelingiscomplete.

1.Cleanaroundfueltankcapandremovecapfromtank
(Figure9).Usingunleaded(87pumpoctaneminimum)
gasoline,llthefueltanktoapproximately25mm
(1inch)belowthetopofthetanktoallowforfuel
expansion.
Important:Donotoverllthetank.Adding
fuelinexcessoftheprescribedlevelwillresult
inenginefailureduetosaturationofthevapor
recoverysystem.Thisisnotawarrantablefailure
andwillrequirereplacementofthefuel-tankcap.
Important:Neverusemethanol,gasoline
containingmethanol,gasoholcontainingmore
than10%ethanol,gasolineadditives,premium
gasoline,orwhitegasbecausethefuelsystem
couldbedamaged.Donotmixoilwithgasoline.

thesparkplug.
1.TurntheOn/OffswitchtotheOnposition.
2.Turnthefuel-shutoffvalvetotheOpenposition.
3.MovethechokelevertotheOnpositionwhenstarting
acoldengine.Thechokemaynotberequiredwhen
startingawarmengine.
4.MovethethrottlecontroltotheFastposition.
5.Standattherearofthemachine,pulltherecoil-start
handleoutuntilpositiveengagementresults;thenpull
itvigorouslytostarttheengine.
Important:Donotpulltherecoilropetothelimit
orletgoofstarterhandlewhentheropeispulled
