tensionandadjustitasnecessary.
Thedrivechainislocatedunderthecoverandistensionedby
theidlersprockets,whicharemountedtoanidlerarm.You
cantensionthisarmfurtherifthechainhasstretched.
1.Removethecoverandsetitaside;refertoRemoving
theCover(page25).
2.Setthetensiononthedrivechainasfollows:
•Loosenthejamnutonthetensioningrod
(Figure34).
•Loosenortightenthetensioningnutuntilthe
distancebetweenthespacerandthexedbracket
is19mm(3/4inch);refertoFigure34.
Note:The19mm(3/4inch)distanceisonly
measuredwhenthejamnutisloose.The
measurementwillbelesswhenthetensioningnut
istightened.
•Hand-tightenthejamnutagainstthexedbracket.
•Whileholdingthejamnutstationary,tightenthe
tensioningnuttolocktheadjustment.
