7.Removetheenginefromthechassis.
8.Ifnecessary,removetherubberdrivecouplingandenginedrivecollar.
InstallingtheEngine
RefertoFigure7orFigure8forthisprocedure.
1.Ifpreviouslyremoved,applyathincoatofanti-seizelubricanttotheengine
outputshaftandinstalltheenginedrivecollarandrubberdrivecouplingto
theengine.Tightenthenutsto23to29N∙m(17to21ft−lb).
2.Placetheengineinpositiononthechassis.
3.Securethetransmissiondrivecollartotherubberdrivecoupling.Tightenthe
fastenersngertight.
IMPORTANT
Topreventdrivecouplingdamage,ensurethatnodistortionof
couplingexistsaftersecuringtheengineandtransmission/hydraulic
pumpcollarstothecoupling.Ifcouplingdistortionisevident,
loosentheengineand/ortransmission/hydraulicpumpandposition
theengineand/ortransmission/hydraulicpumponframesothatthe
couplingisnotdistorted.
4.Securetheenginetothechassis.
5.Ensurethattheengine,rubberdrivecoupling,andtransmission/hydraulic
pumparealignedwitheachother.Tightentheenginemountingfasteners:
GreensPro1240=23to29N∙m(17to21ft−lb)
GreensPro1260
fastenersthroughengineplateonly=23to29N∙m(17to21ft−lb)
fastenersthroughisomounts=20to26N∙m(15to19ft−lb)
6.Tightentherubberdrivecouplinglocknutsfrom23to29N∙m(17to21ft−lb).
7.Connectthewireharnesstotheengineasrecordedduringdisassembly:
A.Groundwireringterminaltotheblowerhousing.
B.Twoconnectorstolightingcoil.
C.Twoconnectorstomagnetoignition.
8.OnGreensPro1240machines,securethehydraulicuidtanktothechassis.
9.Installtheexhaustguardifequipped.
10.Lowerandsecuretheoperatorseat.
11.Installandsecurethetransmissioncovertothemachine;referto
TransmissionCover(page7–58).
