transmissionisconnectedtothedriverollerthroughadoublerowchain.The
transmissionisa10.2cc(0.62cuin)variabledisplacementbidirectionalaxial
hydraulicpumpcoupledtoaxeddisplacement21.8cc(1.33cuin)hydraulic
motor.
Theoperatormovesthemotioncontrolpedalsconnectedtothehydraulic
transmissioncontrolarmtocontrolthemachinedirectionandspeed.With
theenginerunningandthemotioncontrolpedalsintheNEUTRALposition,the
transmissionsuppliesnodrivetothetractionroller,sothatthemachineremains
stationary.Whenoneofthemotioncontrolpedalsispressed,themotioncontrol
linkagemovesthetransmissioncontrolarmsothatthetransmissionoutput
turnsthedriveroller.Machinemovementoccursinthedirectionofthemotion
controlpedalapplied.
The2foot-operatedmotioncontrolpedalsareoneithersideofthesteering
wheelcolumn.Thesepedalscontrolthemotionofthetractionroller.Thepedals
areconnectedtoacommonpedalrodpivotsothatthemotioncontrolpedals
cannotbepresseddownatthesametime.Pressingtheright-handmotion
controlpedalwillmovethemachinetotheright,andpressingtheleft-hand
motioncontrolpedalwillmovethemachinetotheleft.Thefartherthepedalis
pressed,thefasterthemachinewillmoveinthatdirection.
