Settheparkingbraketoallowthemachinetostart.Toset
theparkingbrake(Figure11),pullbackontheparking-brake
lever.Toreleaseit,pushtheleverforward.

SteeringWheel
Turnthesteeringwheel(Figure9)clockwisetoturnthe
machineintheforwarddirection.
Turnthesteeringwheelcounterclockwisetoturnthemachine
intherearwarddirection.
Note:Asthedirectionchangesattheendofeveryrun,you
willneedtopracticewiththemachinetobecomeaccustomed
tothesteering.
Thesteeringwheelcontrolstheangleofthesmoothing
rollers,whichinturnsteerthemachine.Theamountthe
wheelcanbeturnedislimited,sotheturningcircleofthe
machineisrelativelylarge.
Tilt-SteeringPedal
Totiltthesteeringwheeltowardsyou,pressthefootpedal
(Figure9)down,andpullthesteeringtowertowardyouto
themostcomfortableposition,andthenreleasethepedal.
MotionPedals
Thefoot-operatedmotionpedals(Figure9),locatedtoeither
sideofthebaseofthesteeringwheel,controlthemotionof
thedriveroller.Thepedalsareconnectedsothattheycannot
bothbepresseddownatthesametime,youcanpressonly
1pedalatatime.Ifyoupressdownontherightpedalthe
machinemovestotheright,andifyoupressdownontheleft
