InstallingtheHydraulicMotorandDriveRollerAssembly(continued)
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremoved,lubricateandinstallnewO-ringsand
properlytightenthettings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(page
5–14).
2.Positionthewoodruffkeyinthemotorshaft.
3.Installthedriverollerhubontothemotorshaftandsecurewithnewwheel
motornut(item16inFigure40).Tightenthewheelmotornutto240to300
N∙m(177to221ft-lb).
4.Securethedriverollerhubandmotortothedriverollerwiththepreviously
removedfasteners.
5.Looselyinstallthecarriagescrews,plainwashers,andlocknutstothe
hydraulicmotor.
6.Loosenthebearingsetscrew.
CAUTION
Theweightofthehydraulicmotoranddriverollerassemblyis
approximately50kg(110lb).
7.Supportthehydraulicmotoranddriverollerassemblytopreventitfrom
fallingduringinstallation.
8.Positionthehydraulicmotoranddriverollerassemblyinthechassis.Ensure
thatthesleevesareinstalledineachbearinghousingmountingholeand
securethebearingassemblyandhydraulicmotortothechassiswiththe
previouslyremovedfasteners.Tightenthebearingmountingfastenersfrom
112to140N·m(83to103ft-lbs).Tightenthebearingsetscrew.
9.Installtheparkingbrake;refertoInstallingtheParkingBrake(page7–31).
10.Removethecapsandplugsfromthehydraulichosesandttings.
11.LubricateandinstallnewO-ringstothettingsconnectthehydraulichose;
refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHosesandTubes(page5–12).
12.Securethemotorguard(item23inFigure40)tothechassiswiththe
previouslyremovedfasteners.
13.Checkthehydraulicuidlevelinthehydraulictankandadjustifnecessary;
refertotheOperator’sManual.
14.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairispurgedfromthehydraulic
system;refertoChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–42).
