AutoHitchSlide
TheautohitchmechanismensuresthattheGreensProremainssafelyconnected
tothetowvehicleduringtransport;refertotheOperator’sManual.When
properlyadjusted,theautohitchlevermustbeallowedtoreachitsfullypressed
positionwithoutrestrictionfromtheautohitchslide.Properadjustmentalso
allowstheslidetoreachitsstopwhentheleverisfullyreleased.Checkand
adjusttheautohitchmechanismasnecessary,andafterthehitchcomponents
arerepairedorreplaced.
1.Toadjusttheautohitchslide,removetheboltandlocknutthatsecurethe
leverrodtotheadjustableyoke(Figure60).

2.Loosenthehexnutagainsttheadjustableyokeandturntheyokeas
necessarytoincreaseordecreasetheamountofslidetravel/levermovement.
3.Temporaryinstalltheboltandlocknutthatsecuretheadjustableyoketothe
leverrodandchecktheautohitchslidemechanismasfollows:
A.Fullypresstheautohitchleverdownward(Figure61).Thelevershould
reachthefullypressedpositionwiththeleverrodcontactingthetow
bar.Theautohitchslideshouldbeasclosetotheendofthetowbaras
possiblewithoutmakingcontact.Adjustasnecessary.
