Whentighteningthetaperlockbushingsetscrews,tightenin3equal
stepsandinanalternatingpattern.
12.Tightenthesetscrewsthatsecurethetaperlockbushingandsprocket;
tightenthesetscrewsto31N∙m(23ft-lb)in3equalstepsandinan
alternatingpattern.
13.Checkthattherollerdrivechainalignmentisstillcorrectandadjustif
necessary.
A.Machineswithoutaparkingbrake:loosenandadjustthedriveroller
bearingsandbearingcollarstoallowforcorrectdrivechainalignment.
B.Machineswithaparkingbrake:loosenandadjustthesprocketandtaper
lockbushinglocationonrollershaft.
14.Installtheidlerarmassembly(item10inFigure68)withthelocknut,at
washers,bolt,pivotbushing,andspacer.
15.Installthecompressionspring,spacer,andhexnutontheidleradjustment
rod.
16.Adjustthedrivechaintensionandlubricatethechain;refertotheOperator’s
Manual.Dri-slidemulti-purposelubricant(orequivalent)isrecommended
forchainlubrication.
17.Adjusttheparkingbrakeifequipped;refertotheOperator’sManual.
18.Installthetransmissioncovertothemachine;refertoInstallingtheParking
Brake(page7–31).
