Thechargepressuretestistherstinaseriesoftwotestsrecommended
todeterminetractioncircuitperformance.Chargepressuretestinginvolves
recordingthechargepressurewiththepumpundernoload(swashplates
closed)andcomparingthatreadingtothechargepressurewhilethepump
isunderamoderateload(swashplatesopen).Achargepressuredropof
morethan20%indicatesaninternalleakinthehydraulicpump.Continued
unitoperationcangenerateexcessiveheat,causedamagetosealsandother
componentsinthehydraulicsystem,andaffectoverallmachineperformance.

TestProcedure
1.EnsurethatthemotioncontrolpedalsarecorrectlyadjustedfortheNEUTRAL
position.Also,ensurethatthehydraulicpumpisatfullstrokewhenthe
motioncontrolpedalsaremovedtothefullforwardposition.
2.Parkthemachineonaclean,levelsurface,shutofftheengine,andengage
theparkingbrake.
3.Removethetransmissioncover;refertoRemovingtheTransmissionCover
(page7–59)
