4.LubricatetheO-rings,EDseals,anddowtysealswithcleanhydraulicuid
beforeinstallingthehydrauliccomponents.
5.Removeallthecapsorplugsfromthehydraulichoses,hydraulicttings,and
componentsbeforeconnectingthem.
6.Usepropertighteningprocedureswheninstallingthehydraulichosesand
ttings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHosesandTubes(page5–12)and
InstallingtheHydraulicFittings(page5–14).
7.Afteryoucompletetherepairs,checkthecontrollinkagesorcablesfor
properadjustment,binding,orbrokenparts.
8.Afteryoucompletetherepairs,cleananyhydraulicuidfromcomponents,
hoseconnections,andttingstopreventfutureaccumulationofdirtand
unwantedmaterial.
9.Afteryoudisconnectorreplaceanyhydrauliccomponents,operatethe
machinefunctionsslowlyuntiltheairisoutofthesystem;refertoCharging
theHydraulicSystem(page5–42).
10.Checkforhydraulicuidleaks;refertoCheckingtheHydraulicLinesand
Hoses(page5–37).Shutofftheengineandrepairleaksifnecessary.
11.Checkthehydraulicuidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary.
