Replaceallwornordamagednuts,bolts,and
screws.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure,anddonotstoreitnearaame.
•Toreducetheriskofre,keeptheengine,silencer,
andfuel-storageareafreeofgrass,leaves,or
excessivegrease.
•Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandall
hardwareandhydraulicttingstightened.Replace
allwornordamagedpartsanddecals.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,dothisoutdoors.
•Becarefulwhileadjustingthemachinetoprevent
entrapmentofthengersbetweenmovingand
xedpartsofthemachine.
•Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovementto
stop,anddisconnectthespark-plugwirebefore
adjusting,cleaning,orrepairing.
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromrollers,brake,
mufers,andenginetohelppreventres.Clean
upoilorfuelspills.
•Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfrommoving
parts.Ifpossible,donotmakeadjustmentswith
theenginerunning.
•Checkallfuellinesfortightnessandwearona
regularbasis.Tightenorrepairthemasneeded.
•Ifyoumustruntheenginetoperforma
maintenanceadjustment,keepyourhands,feet,
clothing,andanypartsofthebodyawayfromthe
rollers,attachments,andanymovingparts.Keep
bystandersaway.
•Toensuresafetyandaccuracy,haveanAuthorized
ToroDistributorcheckthemaximumenginespeed
withatachometer.Themaximum-governed
enginespeedshouldbe3,600rpm.
•Ifthemachineeverneedsmajorrepairsorifyou
desireassistance,contactanAuthorizedToro
Distributor.
Hauling
•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine
intooroutofatraileroratruck.
•Usefull-widthrampsforloadingorunloadingthe
machineintooroutofatraileroratruck.
•Tiethemachinedownsecurelyusingstraps,
chains,cable,orropes.Bothfrontandrearstraps
shouldbedirecteddownandoutwardfromthe
machine.
SafetyandInstructionalDecals
Safetydecalsandinstructionsareeasilyvisibletotheoperatorandarelocatednearanyarea
ofpotentialdanger.Replaceanydecalthatisdamagedormissing.
