Thethrottlelever(Figure15)islocatednexttothechoke
control;itcontrolsthespeedoftheengineandtherefore
controlsthespeedofthemachine.Forbestrolling
performance,setthiscontroltotheFASTposition.
Fuel-ShutoffValve
Thefuel-shutoffvalve(Figure15)islocatedunderneaththe
chokelever.Moveittotheopenpositionbeforeattempting
tostarttheengine.Onceyouhavenishedusingthemachine
andyouhaveturnedtheengineoff,movethefuel-shutoff
valvetotheCLOSEDposition.
Recoil-StartHandle
Tostarttheengine,pulltherecoil-starthandle(Figure11)
quicklytoturntheengineover.Thecontrolsontheengine
describedabovemustallbesetcorrectlyfortheengineto
start.
Oil-LevelSwitch
Theoil-levelswitchislocatedinsidetheengine;itprevents
theenginefromrunningiftheoillevelfallsbelowthesafe
operatinglimit.
