dirtysparkplug.Donotsandblast,scrape,
orcleantheelectrodes,becauseengine

cylinder.

4.Installthecorrectlygappedsparkplugcarefully
byhand,toavoidcross-threading.
5.Afterthesparkplugisseated,tightenitwith
aspark-plugwrenchtocompressthesealing
washer.
•Wheninstallinganewsparkplug,tighten
it1/2turnafterthesparkplugseats,to
compressthewasher.
•Wheninstallingtheoriginalsparkplug,
tightenit1/8to1/4turnafterthesparkplug
seats,tocompressthewasher.
Note:Aloosesparkplugcanoverheatand
damagetheengine.Overtighteningthespark
plugcandamagethethreadsinthecylinder
head.
6.Connectthespark-plugwiretothesparkplug.
