RemovingtheHydraulicMotorandDriveRollerAssembly(continued)
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,shutofftheengineandpress
themotioncontrolpedalstoreleasethepressureinthesystemand
avoidinjuryfromthepressurizedhydraulicuid.
CAUTION
Useasuitableliftingdevicetosafelyraiseandsupportthemachine
toaccessthecomponentsunderthechassis.
1.Parkthemachineonaclean,levelsurfaceandsetthetransportwheels
totheloweredandlockedposition.
2.ReadtheGeneralPrecautionsforRemovingandInstallingtheHydraulic
SystemComponents(page5–35).
3.Removethemotorguardfromthechassis(Figure40).
4.Cleanthehydraulichoseendsandttingsonthehydraulicmotortoprevent
contaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
5.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulicconnectionsatthehydraulic
motor.Loosenandremovethehydraulichosesfromthettingsonthe
hydraulicmotor.Allowthehosestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
6.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
7.Removetheparkingbrake;refertoRemovingtheParkingBrake(page7–30).
CAUTION
Theweightofthehydraulicmotoranddriverollerassemblyis
approximately50kg(110lb).
8.Supportthehydraulicmotoranddriverollerassemblytopreventitfrom
fallingduringremoval.
9.Removethefastenersthatsecurethedriverollerbearingtothechassis.
Retrievethesleevesfromthebearingmountingholes.
10.Loosenthefastenersthatsecurethehydraulicmotortothechassisand
removethehydraulicmotoranddriverollerassembly.
11.Removethefastenersthatsecurethedriverollerhubtothedriveroller.
12.Removethewheelmotornutandpulldriverollerhubfromthehydraulic
motorshaft.Discardthewheelmotornut.
13.Locateandretrievethewoodruffkeyfromthemotorshaft.
14.Removethe2carriagescrews,2plainwashers,and2locknutsfromthe
hydraulicmotor.
15.Ifnecessary,removethettingsfromthehydraulicmotoranddiscardthe
ttingO-rings.
