Aninterlockmoduleisusedtomanagethemachineinterlocksystem.The
interlockmoduleisattachedtotheundersideoftheseatpan(Figure?).
Theinterlockmoduleisamicro-controllerthatsensestheconditionofvarious
machineswitches(inputs).Basedonthestateoftheinputs,themodulecontrols
theengineignitionsystemcircuit(circuitground).
Theinterlockmoduleisasolidstatedevice,andthereisnomethodtotestthe
moduledirectly.Thecontrolmodulemaybedamagedifanattemptismadeto
testitwithanelectricaltestdevice,suchasadigitalmultimeter.
TestingtheInterlockModule
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagetheparkingbrake,andshutoff
theengine.
2.Ensurethatthewireharnessgroundconnectionattheengineblowerhousing
issecureandfreeofcorrosion.
3.Disconnectthewireharnessconnectorfromtheinterlockmodule(Figure?).
Checkthewireharnessconnectorforcorrosionandcleantheconnector
ifnecessary.
