InstallingtheDriveChainIdlerArm
1.Ifremoved,installtheidlersprocketassemblyontheidlerarmwiththebolt,
idlergearbushing,atwasher,andlocknut(Figure64).
2.Ifremoved,installtheidleradjustmentrodontheidlerarmwiththebolt,
hexnut,atwasher,andlocknut.Tightenthebolttotheidlerarmwiththe
hexnut,andadjustthelocknutsothattheidleradjustmentrodisfreeto
pivotonthebolt.
3.Installtheatwasherandhexnutontheidleradjustmentrod.Threadthenut
32mm(1.25inches)ontotherod.
4.Installtheidlerarmassemblywiththelocknut,atwashers,bolt,pivot
bushing,andspacer.
5.Installthecompressionspring,spacer,andhexnutontheidleradjustment
rod(Figure63).
6.Adjustthedrivechaintensionandlubricatethechain;refertotheOperator’s
Manual.Dri-slidemulti-purposelubricant(oranequivalentchainspecic
lubricant)isrecommended.
7.Installthetransmissioncovertothemachine;refertoTransmissionCover
(page7–58).
