1.Parkthemachineonaclean,levelsurfacewiththetransportwheelsinthe
raisedandlockedposition.Shutofftheengine.Engagetheparkingbrakeif
equipped,orremovethesparkplugwirefromthesparkplug.
2.Removethesteeringwheelcoverfromthesteeringwheelbycarefullyprying
upononeofthecoverspokes.
3.Removethelocknutandatwasherthatsecurethesteeringwheeltothe
steeringcolumn.
4.Removethesteeringwheelfromthesteeringcolumn.Useasuitablepuller
ifnecessary.
InstallingtheSteeringWheel
RefertoFigure76forthisprocedure.
1.Cleanthetaperedsurfacesofthesteeringwheelandsteeringcolumn.
2.Applyathincoatofanti-seizelubricanttothesplinesofsteeringcolumnand
ensuretokeeptheanti-seizelubricantfromthesteeringcolumntaper.Slide
thesteeringwheelontothesteeringcolumn.
