DisassemblingtheSteeringHead(continued)
1.Removethecapfromtherollersupport.
2.Removetheboltandlockwasherthatsecurethecollar(item10)tothepivot
shaft.
3.Lifttherollersupportwiththebearingandcollarstillattachedfromthepivot
shaft.
4.Removethefastenersthatsecurethebearingtotherollersupport.Separate
thebearingfromtherollersupportandremovethecollar.
5.Removethespacerfromthepivotshaft.
6.Removethepivotshaftifnecessary.
7.Repairorreplacethesteeringheadassemblycomponentsasnecessary.

RefertoFigure86forthisprocedure.
1.Installthepivotshaftifpreviouslyremoved.
2.Applyathincoatofanti-seizelubricanttothepivotshaftandinstallthe
spaceronthepivotshaft.
3.Placethecollar(item10)betweenthebearingandrollersupportandsecure
thebearingtotherollersupportwiththefastenerspreviouslyremoved.
4.Fitthebearingandrollersupportassemblyoverthepivotshaftandsecure
thecollartothepivotshaftwiththeboltandlockwasher.
5.Installthecapintherollersupport.
6.Lubricatethebearingthroughgreasettinguntilthegreaseisvisibleon
outsideofthebearing.Wipeawayanyexcessgrease.
